Value your talent, balance your mind!

Awareness sessions (pre-registration required)

Value your Talent

Recognising one’s own talent can be a difficult thing, often we choose to look at our resume - a list of jobs we have moved on from, rather than our fortes we have developed over time.
Reflecting on our talents help us develop positive self-talk. Participants will consider how to link their work, volunteer and family commitments with developing our community talent wall.

Make the move for mental health

This presentation looks at the connection between exercise and mental well-being by workshopping the barriers to movement and to getting started through pacing for achievable goals.
Participants experience exercise for relaxation through the inclusive exercise program
“Time Out Tai Chi” encouraging mindful movement and breathing techniques
to calm and centre the mind and body.
Participants will be encouraged to use knowledge gained in these sessions
to walk and talk about positive choices for mental health.
